In the spring of 2020, during the Great Webinar Era, well, I was conducting a webinar, “How to Leverage Virtual Assistants in Your Real Estate Business.” After the webinar, I received an email from a title partner. It says, “You need to talk to Stacie. She was on your webinar and could use a Virtual Assistant.” 

“Great, I’ll give her a call.” I said.

As most of these calls go, she was swamped and couldn’t talk at the moment, the irony. So, we scheduled a time to speak the next day. During our conversation, she explained to me how busy she was closing seven-plus deals this month and three closings the following month. I could tell she needed help and asked what she wanted to start on. She said she had zero social media presence and wanted to get started there. After making that decision, we knew exactly where to begin branding. Not everyone needs to start with branding. Many agents already have a brand with a consistent message across all platforms. But for those that don’t, this is a great place to start. Stacie went ahead and submitted her request, and our virtual assistants got started.


First, we started designing her logo. She said she wanted something classy, with gold in the image – one of our virtual assistants, Edmund, created three different logos for her. A logo is an essential part of your company’s brand and one of the most important investments you can make. She selected one of the logos, and Edmund included the color code, font, and several formats. Something you want when you start creating other marketing material.


Next, we created an animated logo and video outro. These are exciting things you can do to stand out. Use animated logos to develop Instagram stickers, which you can add to your stories. You can also use animated logos to stand out in your email. Imagine opening your inbox and seeing an email line with an animated image. It stands out!


Finally, make sure your profile and cover images are all similar. Have a virtual assistant create a profile and cover pictures for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and any other social groups you belong to. You want people to know they landed on the right page, and having related images across all platforms makes you look more professional.

Starting with branding allows you to differentiate yourself, build a consistent, recognizable image, and build the foundation for you to begin marketing.
